This is Federal’s Punch line of ammunition. It’s not police grade, which means it’s a little more affordable due to its lack of a nickel-plated brass case and bonded projectile. But is the round’s 200 grain jacketed hollow point anemic? Hardly. It hits hard thanks to its nearly sonic 1,100 fps muzzle velocity, and it exhibits reliable terminal expansion as soon as it sinks into a soft medium courtesy of its supple lead core and notched gilding metal jacket. That second feature is especially instrumental in ensuring the bullet opens up fast and wide, even at lower velocities, so you can expect to inflict the gaping wound channel which deals massive trauma to soft tissue and internal organs.
This ammunition sports Federal’s highest-quality solid brass cases and noncorrosive Boxer primers. Those primers are sealed, which will help the ammo to stay safer in storage and out in the field.
