This round’s bullet is light without any lead to weigh it down. At 40 grains it’s poised to provide the best accuracy when stabilized by a 1:12 or 1:9 twist barrel. But Nosler’s BTLF bullet also pulls its own weight in the accuracy department courtesy of its precision centered polymer tip, concentrically drawn copper jacket and super-flat base. A 0.224 ballistic coefficient is not too shabby for a 40 grain .22 cal bullet!

The bullet’s mounting internal pressure ultimately forces its thin jacket to burst outward in a shower of jagged metal fragments.
