Anyone who’s familiar with the hallowed 270 will tell you that 150 grains is not an unusually heavy bullet. But it does weigh toward the heavier end of the 270 spectrum, which helps the bullet transfer more energy to its target and penetrate it more deeply.
Browning’s Silver Series ammunition features appropriately colored bullets. The soft point’s lustrous plating is essentially a cosmetic feature – its skived jacket and exposed lead core are both very much functional, and will supply deadly expansion. The 0.344 G1 BC soft point retains 1,500 ft lbs of kinetic energy until almost 300 yards, and its trajectory to 200 yards peaks at 1.95” (assuming 1.5” sight height).
This American-made hunting ammunition comes with all the trimmings: new reloadable brass cases, noncorrosive Boxer primers, and clean-burning propellant.
