A million years ago some caveman turned to his buddies and said “Hey, instead of hunting every day why don’t we just invent agriculture instead?” This is widely regarded as a huge misstep in human history. Now all we want to do is go hunting every day.

But for those precious few days when you do get to go hunting, you can count on Federal’s Non-Typical Whitetail line of ammunition. This 270 Win cartridge is outfitted with a middleweight 130 grain bullet, one that offers up a healthy blend of flat trajectory and deadly terminal ballistics. Here is a bullet with a concentric jacket and evenly weighted lead core, so it won’t spin out before it arrives at your buck. When the bullet connects, its soft core will cause it to mushroom outward to dump energy and rip a great wound cavity in its path. Deer hate it when this happens to them.

When you buy Federal’s ammo you’re investing in an authentic American operation, born in Minnesota over a hundred years ago and still going strong there to this day. They mind all their components’ quality, and have demonstrated as much with this round’s strong and clean chambering brass case, sensitive and non-corrosive Boxer primer, and propellant that burns at the correct rate to best complement its bullet’s ballistic performance.

This round’s muzzle velocity is 3,060 fps, for a muzzle energy of 2,703 ft lbs. According to Federal’s own data it has a G1 ballistic coefficient of .372.
