Maybe you don’t want to order a 1,000-round case of 5.56x45 ammunition. Maybe you only want 20 rounds of the stuff – or, barring that, a quantity that is divisible by 20. If that’s the case, then behold: a 20-round box of Federal American Eagle 5.56!
This ammo’s like a home-cooked hamburger: nothing too fancy, but made just right. Its bullets are humble 55 grain full metal jackets, which are made of lead cores and copper-alloy jackets – no steel. Its primers are noncorrosive, so they won’t encrust your rifle in rust if you don’t give it a special cleaning after each use. Its brass cases are fresh off the production line, and durable enough to withstand multiple voyages through the reloading press. Its powder will foul your firearm – all powder does – but it will not do so excessively, and it will generate the consistent chamber pressure which produces consistent muzzle velocities. In other words, this ammo is the whole shebang! (Or more accurately a “hebang,” because we suspect mostly men will fire it.)
