The Speer Impact is a mighty effective long-range hunting bullet. Accuracy? It has it by the bucketful, because it features a Slipstream polymer tip and boat tail to cut down drag and a bonded jacket that amplifies stability. It gains 0.273 G7 BC at 2,975 fps MV, which spells -6.5” drop 100 yards beyond a 200-yard zero (assuming: 1.5” sight height, 24” barrel).

The Impact’s bonded jacket assumes a different purpose upon striking (i.e. making impact with) the quarry: securing very high weight retention, which is precisely what a bullet must do in order to tunnel deeply through living tissue. The Impact’s terminal ballistics are only deadlier in light of its Slipstream tip, which slams into its nose cavity to elicit fast yet highly controlled expansion.
