A 380 Auto pistol? Well, that’s not exactly a “hand cannon” by any stretch of the imagination. That’s not to say it can’t double over the threat in one shot. That’s only to point out that good shot placement really, really matters if you’d count on the 380 during a self-defense snafu.*
Get your target practice in before you have to defend yourself. Order a 200-round box of Federal Champion and get cracking.
This ammo is loaded with simple full metal jacket bullets. They weigh 95 grains, which is common for the 380, and create similar feel and ballistics to several proper self-defense loads because of it. They are more economical than JHP bullets for two reasons: they lack any features which deliver terminal expansion, and they have plated jackets instead of true ones (noting that plated FMJs aren’t compatible with ported barrels, ported compensators, or any other ported things).
Federal’s budget-accommodating FMJs are seated in new reloadable brass cases. No component in this ammunition can attract a magnet!
*Good shot placement obviously always matters, but you see what we’re getting at here.
