Details

This 6.5 Creedmoor hunting cartridge is a true power couple. Its bullet is the Hybrid Hunter by Berger; everything else is by Federal Premium!

The Hybrid Hunter is designed to impress at every stage of its performance. Its profile incorporates a tangent ogive that ensures optimal alignment with the bore, as well as a secant ogive that complements the jacket’s boat tail to measurably reduce in-flight drag. The Hybrid Hunter achieves optimal gyroscopic stability thanks in large part to its J4 Hunting Jacket – one of the most concentric copper jackets ever developed. Once it has reached a muzzle velocity of 2,775 fps, the 135 grain Hybrid Hunter’s 0.584 G1 ballistic coefficient (0.303 G7) will keep its trajectory flat and its velocity supersonic until around 1,400 yards.

The Hybrid Hunter is no normal hollow point boat tail. It is designed to produce massive terminal expansion and extreme hydrostatic shock over a great range of impact velocities, and it reliably penetrates about 2.5” of hide and muscle before it begins mushrooming outward.

Federal shows off what a Hybrid Hunter can really do by backing it with their own Gold Medal match primer and highest-quality propellant. This ammo’s reloadable brass cases are nickel-plated to promote smoother functionality in all rifles and protect against harmful corrosion!
