This is good ammo for trapshooting and sporting clays, so we won’t ship it to just anyone. If we have Rio’s Target Load Trap 12 Gauge ammo in stock, and you’re reading this, that’s because we’ve decided you’re cool enough to order it. Must feel pretty good, eh?

This shell wrecks clay pigeons with its 7/8 ounce payload of #8 shot. Those .09” pellets are super popular for hunting real pigeons, and for good reason – its small size conveys a really dense pattern, but it’s still substantial enough to do a lot of damage over long distances. Rio matches this shell’s shot with a high density wad that spreads it in a tight, consistent pattern, so you won’t have to guess at how each shell is due to perform.

Rio’s expertise when it comes to explosives is unparalleled, and their clean burning single-based propellant and sensitive primer demonstrate as much. You’ll reap the reward with a steady 1,340 fps muzzle velocity, which is rather brisk to deliver a flat trajectory and more energy with which to crush clay downrange. Rio houses all this fine quality in a smooth cycling hull, which becomes reloadable the instant you sink its shot into a disc.
