The clay pigeon is an interesting thing: made for the sole purpose of being destroyed, like the planks of wood that karate students break with knifehand strikes. Help the clay pigeon fulfill its purpose in life with this fine ammo by Rio!

This 12 Gauge shotshell has a bantamweight 7/8 ounce column of shot. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps – certainly serviceable, but not blistering fast – it generates palatable recoil to help you stay comfier or crack rays in rapid succession. The shot itself is #8, a popular choice for trap and sporting clays. Rio’s shot is fortified by antimony and further protected against deformation by a cushy matched wad, two factors behind the consistent pattern you can expect from this shell.

Rio’s single-based powder burns clean to create moderate pressure within a shotgun’s chamber. This shell’s non-corrosive primer won’t introduce rust-inducing elements into your bore. Once that primer’s pushed in, pop it out to create your own target load – this round’s hull is perfectly up to the task!
