What are you? Not an American? We suppose it’s fully possible, given the worldwide reach of the internet. Maybe people are reading this in Japan. Who knows!
But that’s beside the point. We’re presuming you very much are an American, which is why you are entitled to shoot trap and skeet using some of the finest 20 Gauge ammunition Federal Premium has to offer.
All American. It’s got a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? It’s also got a 7/8 ounce charge of exceptionally high-quality #7.5 lead shot. Federal does every little thing in their power to ensure their pellets are uniform in size and consistently 0.095” in diameter. They also cast them from unusually hard lead-antimony alloy, which ensures the shot pellets all stay nice and spherical and otherwise identical to each other. Those are precisely the kinds of pellets which pattern most efficiently!
Inside this shell’s straight-wall hull is a wad designed specifically for it: the Podium. Its compression looks like an X, but with a sideways ring-shaped structure where its beams would have otherwise intersected. This arrangement provides full support to the shot column, and also reduces how much recoil energy can reach it. It’s even greater assurance that each ignition will produce the narrow pattern all clay shooters prefer!
