This cartridge’s 125 grain bullet is a total metal jacket (or total metal case, as Ammo Inc. calls it). The TMJ delivers identical in-flight and terminal ballistics as the more conventional FMJ. Where it differs is its jacket, which extends to shield the TMJ’s solid lead core. This keeps scorching hot exploding propellant from searing lead off the core, which promotes a cleaner barrel and a healthier training environment. Great for indoor ranges with stagnant air!
