We wish no one needed personal protection ammo. That would mean all of our favorite people (BulkAmmo.com customers) live in a world where they’re always safe.
Sadly, that world has never existed, and we won’t hold our breath until it does. We’ll stack Federal Punch 380 ACP ammunition instead.
These cartridges will turn any pocket gun into a capable tool for self-preservation. Each 85 grain bullet gains 1,000 fps muzzle velocity out of Federal’s 3.75” test barrel; ~185 ft lbs striking energy on a target that’s arms length away from the shooter. That’s really only to say that this round doesn’t punch above its weight class. It’s a 380, for better and weaker.
The bullet does make neat use of its limited energy, though. The Punch jacketed hollow point’s six notches help it spread out wide; a lead-and-copper blossom, with petals that fold outward and backward to yield proper expansion.
Federal deals each Punch load a fresh brass case, and seals its primer against water both liquid and humid. This ammo is made in Minnesota, where there are temperatures that shouldn’t exist.
