This shotgun shell is loaded with a 1/4 ounce rifled slug: just a simple cylinder of lead that accelerates to a velocity of 1,500 fps out of a long gun’s barrel. You can expect significantly lower muzzle velocities if you’re firing a Taurus Judge or Smith & Wesson Governor, but this ammo is still safe and reliable out of the 45/410 wheel guns. The rifled projectile will clear a choke without issue, and its all-lead construction means it’s due to deform somewhat after colliding with soft tissue.
