Do you wish you could shoot a squirrel with three 13.3 grain bullets simultaneously? That’s not strictly possible, but this Mini-Mag series 22 LR ammo by CCI comes awfully close!
This cartridge features a 40 grain segmented hollow point. The copper-plated bullet looks just like a CPHP at first glance, but its nose cavity doesn’t function the same way. Instead of forcing the bullet to widen out, it forces the bullet to split apart into three equally sized segments – each of which inflicts its own separate wound channel. It’s a quick way to turn varmints into things formerly known as varmints!
This high-velocity ammo gives its bullets the hard push they need in order to fly across a relatively flat line, and its primers, propellant and cases are all CCI’s usual admirable high quality. Those plastic boxes don’t make the ammo more accurate or deadly, but we don’t know … they just look nicer!
