We wish South Korea were neighbors with a nicer country, such as … any country. But they are where they are, which means they have to be ready to roll at any moment.
It was smart of South Korea to design their military’s Daewoo Precision Industries K2 assault rifle to accept the same STANAG magazine as America’s own M16. That means we can share mags in the event we ever have to fight shoulder to shoulder.
It was also smart of South Korea to make more of those magazines than their military actually needs, because that means they get to make money selling them to the American commercial market. And these are those mags, right here! Ten of them: brand spanking new, made of steel, and finished for added protection against corrosion. They’re nothing fancy, but they are certainly dependable enough for any and all kinds of range training and will save the day if you ever find yourself needing mags in dire circumstances, too!
