This ammo has a fairly strong recoil and hurls 9-00 buck pellets out of the muzzle at approximately 1,325 feet per second. This ammo features a star crimp unlike some less expensive products which use a roll crimp. Shotgun ammo is a little odd in that the length measurement of 2-3/4" is after the round has been fired. So, unfired rounds have slightly different lengths and roll crimped shells can reduce the carrying capacity in your tube on occasion. This ammo is trusted by the military and is a great option for personal defense in popular models such as Remington 870's Mossberg 500's, and much more.
