These one-ounce, copper-coated slugs are capable of achieving 3-inch groups at 50 yards. Q: Can I use these with the civilian model Benelli m1014. It’s a full smooth bore barrel with a fixed modified choke. Read that people say they shoot slugs all the time no problem, I just want to verify

A: Yes sir, you'll be able to run any rifled slug ammo you want with your M1014. The slug's rifling will let it pass through a mod choke no problem!
Q: Can this ammo be used in a Winchester 1897? If not what would be the best recommend?

A: Hi Joshua. Thanks for looking to BulkAmmo.com for your ammo needs. You will need to have a gunsmith check your shotgun out completely to find that answer. Many of these old shotguns had an actual chamber length of 2 5/8ths inches, but the shells were roll crimped, not star crimped. Depending on the shotgun dimensions and chokes, it may not be safe to fire modern slugs through it. Unless it is the proper configuration, you could have a pressure issue.
