Ammo Overview

Quantity - 25 rounds per box
Manufacturer - Federal Speed-Shok
Load - 20 ga 2-3/4" 3/4 Ounce #7 Steel Shot

Federal’s Speed-Shok line of shotshells offers round pellets, high density wads that seal in propellant gasses to promote even spreading, and primers that you can rely on in the damp environments they’re meant to go to. This 20 Gauge shell is loaded with ¾ ounces of #7 steel shot. That size of shot is known as “dove shot,” and rightly so because it performs best at taking down such sized targets without mangling their meat beyond use. Because it is made of steel, this shot is acceptable for use in environments where the use of toxic lead shot is barred by federal or state law, as well as at clubs that have banned it. Because steel is much harder than lead, it deforms less in the barrel and spreads in a tighter pattern, and it penetrates plumage admirably as well.

Founded in Minnesota in 1922, Federal has innovated countless special use shotshells for hunters with a variety of demands. This shell is a solid choice for bird hunters who don’t wish to sacrifice performance while shooting in protected habitats.
