This 22 LR cartridge by Fiocchi features a 38 grain projectile. The bullet’s lead slug has gone through an electroplating process in order to give it a very thin copper plating, providing the bullet with added resistance against deformation as well as some protection against lead fouling for your bore. (Its muzzle velocity of 1,260 fps is just about the upper cusp of what a copper plated bullet should handle.) The bullet’s hollow point ensures that it will expand upon impact to cause expanding damage, making this round as fit for smaller varmint control as it is for simple plinking and target practice. Thi cartridge has a non-corrosive rimfire primed brass casing, as is the case for 22 LR cartridges, the non-reloadability of which is bemoaned by none.
