Went through a lot of ammo seeing what worked well enough in the cheap AR. The lighter 146-150 grain stuff had more or a 'shotgun' type of effect; everything hit the target at 200 yards but not the best grouping. The 180 grain grouped better but the drop was more significant. This 165 grain worked much better with groups better than the 146 and 150 grains with no significant drop; also made hits at 300 and 400.

Not a sniper and don't put believe in putting high powered scopes on an m4 type of rifle; iron sights and a zero mag holo sight work well enough. But with this ammo think hits (maybe not head shots but they will knock a looter down) at 400 yards or less. (Posted on 5/26/2016)

I shoot this out of my national match rifle and it holds a really good group. Very happy with it shoot well.at 75 yards I held a group of five shots that I could have covered with the nickel. (Posted on 12/12/2014)
