Ammo Overview

Quantity - 50 rounds per box; 10 boxes per case
Manufacturer - Prvi Partizan
Bullets - 180 grain jacketed hollow point (JHP)
Casings - Boxer-primed brass

Another great deal on range ammunition by Prvi Partizan, the import producer that has been gaining fans rapidly on the American market of late. The .40 S&W offering in 180 grains gives you practice options or general target shooting rounds that are hard to beat for the money. The powder is slightly dirtier than some of the competitors, but the heavy powder charge offers very good functional reliability that will help to break in firearms that are new or otherwise stubborn.

Note these are not your typical FMJ truncated nose .40S&W bullets, they are a jacketed hollow point that gives excellent expansion. This is not an ultra-premium round, but it’s also not masquerading as one. Some of the things you take for granted with the ultra-premium rounds may not be part of the build here. For instance these are not a full bonded jacket so there can be some jacket separation. Note: that this is a very competitive price however, with a good projectile for tactical training. Given the price point it may be a smart move to grab a case of two for putting on the shelf for your next defensive pistol course or for practicing for your duty weapon with a similar cartridge to what you use in the magazines for carry.

A: While all full cases of ammo ship in the original carton from the manufacturer, some will include a metal ammo can or spam can. Referencing the images of the item will indicate what will be included. Cases that ship in ammo cans are usually found in .223, 5.56, and 50 BMG ammo selections. Bulgarian surplus ammo and other foreign brands of ammo in case quantities other than 500 or 1,000 rounds will indicate they will ship in a sealed spam can. One example of this would be 640 rounds of 7.62x39. All of these containers are great for long term storage for many decades if desired.
