Another success story by Federal Premium, this “Judge” ammunition, which is of course suitable for other short barrel length handguns chambered to accept the .410, is an absolute beast for personal defense without hampering follow up and ability to react by making the firearm too unwieldy after the first shot.

The pattern is wide enough to ensure good coverage but not too wide (at normal CQB distances) that it becomes ineffective. At even as large a distance as 15 yards, the massive potential for stopping the threat is essentially unmatched out of short barreled pistols chambered for the shotshell.

850 feet per second is a good velocity for penetration at that distance and offers some respite for the punishing recoil of other loads in the category. This is a particularly easy recoiling round given the potency it has. While it is suitable for use in larger shotguns, it is specifically made for pistols with short barrels that will be used in close quarters for self defense and in that specific niche it shines.

This is a 2 ½” shell with 000 buckshot and is packaged in 20 shells per box
