Federal’s American Eagle line of ammunition is for shooting enthusiasts who understand that you can have a reliable, consistently performing, and hard-working cartridge without having to fork over an undue amount of money in exchange. This 5.56x45mm cartridge sports a 62 grain full metal jacketed projectile, which both penetrates targets well and saves rifle bores from excessive lead fouling. These green tipped bullets are classified as XM855. That means they’re designed to pierce steel, just like the military’s M855 rounds do, but incurred some slight, albeit practically inconsequential, flaw in their production that wouldn’t do for soldiers out in the field. It’s still an incredible value for a round that can go through a car door like it was made of crepe paper.

These cartridges come on stripper clips, so reloading will be a breeze. They’re fit for long-term storage courtesy of their sealed primers, and perfect for reloading thanks to their factory fresh brass casings.
