Details

The Fusion line is a dedicated deer cartridge by Federal that uses a unique electrochemically bonded jacket-to-core design to improve the weight retention upon impact. This round is a favorite of shooters throughout the world, with its roots in the SKS platform and later in the AK47. As a deer round it offers a lot for the money. Sure, American made, brass cased, premium 7.62x39 ammunition defeats the purpose of shooting cheap military surplus as a standard. But when you look at the capability of the rifle, and realize the small cost increase in cost for the ammunition made for MOA accuracy, this Federal Premium Fusion ammunition gives a certain versatility in deer season that you cannot find from other rounds while still maintaining some relative value.

The 123 grain projectile takes nothing away from the platform you’d be shooting it out of, but the premium build quality of the Fusion line and the tightly controlled component production means you can rest assured that your rifle is shooting some of the best deer ammo you can find out of it. Reloadable brass case with Boxer primer means you can play around with some ballistics later on, too. Suitable for use in any 7.62x39 rifle but best suited for bolt actions or SKS rifles as they can better utilize the accuracy, shot by shot. AR and AK and clones can also benefit from the improved accuracy of this cartridge.
