Details

Belom ammunition is manufactured in the nation of Serbia. If you are like us, you wondered if Serbian ammunition shares Russia’s steel components. But Serbia is actually 2,000 miles away from Moscow. They do their own thing there, which means this 7.62x39 ammunition is 100 percent steel-free and nonmagnetic. Perfect if you want to take your AK-47 to any range you please!

This round’s FMJ bullet features a solid lead-antimony alloy core and copper-zinc alloy jacket. It’s a target shooter’s bullet, perfect for riddling paper, but no varmints or home intruders are going to walk it off after 123 grains of solid metal hits them at supersonic velocity.

Belom’s ammunition is designed for the battlefield, so it’s extremely rugged stuff. This 7.62x39 ammo will function correctly under temperatures ranging from -65 to 125.6 °F (two temperatures you probably want nothing to do with). Belom’s brass-cased and non-corrosive Boxer-primed ammo can submerge in water without producing bubbles. It’s both reloadable and safe to store for a very long time, especially thanks to its plastic packaging.

Detailed Analysis:

What Shooters Praise (The Pros)

Reliability

Reports of flawless cycling and firing are widespread, even in rifles prone to issues with other brands or steel-cased ammo. Users consistently cite zero malfunctions, jams, or misfires across multiple types of firearms, including AR and AK platforms.

Performance

Shooters note above-average accuracy (sub-MOA potential), minimal smoke and residue, and consistent performance, even over hundreds of rounds. Positive feedback on clean-burning and suitability for both casual and semi-precision shooting is recurrent.

Bargain

Many buyers highlight the value for reloadable brass-cased ammo, noting the price is slightly higher than steel but justified by performance, reusability, and reliability. The product is repeatedly described as a worthwhile investment, especially in the current market.

What to Know (The Nuances)

- Clean-burning: Users frequently report minimal fouling compared to other brands, with no excessive smoke.
- Brass Casing: 100% brass, reloadable; permitted at ranges where steel is banned.
- Not the cheapest option: Price per round is higher than steel-cased but offset by reloadability and reliability.
- Packaging: Sturdy plastic/sealed containers are favored for storage and transport—considered above standard.
- Non-corrosive: Confirmed suitable for long-term use without concern for barrel damage.
- Range and rifle compatibility: Performs especially well in rifles that dislike steel-cased ammo.

Conclusion

This 7.62x39mm brass-cased ammunition is a standout choice for shooters prioritizing reliability, reloadability, and clean performance. It is particularly suited to those whose rifles have trouble with steel ammo, as well as users seeking premium storage and range convenience. While priced above steel alternatives, its proven consistency, safety for reloading, and high-quality packaging deliver strong overall value. Highly recommended for range enthusiasts, training, and anyone wanting dependable, storable ammo.

A: No sir. No modern ammo is. If it has English on its package, then you can rest assured it's noncorrosive.

A: Thanks for reaching out Terry! I haven't personally tested this ammo in a Ruger Mini 30, but there's no reason it should fail to function reliably in any 7.62x39 firearm.
