Ammo Overview

Quantity - 20 rounds
Manufacturer - Federal Premium
Bullets - 170 grain soft point (SP)
Casings - Boxer-primed brass

A very good cartridge for the 8mm Mauser with top quality accuracy, reliability and cleaner burning powders than your typical 8x57mm loads. This Federal premium ammo, is made to an exacting specification based loosely on the military specification for the cartridge, but whose components are significantly better produced than those military surplus rounds.

A 170 grain soft point projectile is suitable for hunting in most jurisdictions for large game and offers a bit more wound channel diameter; a better bullet deformation and the round is loaded to an accuracy potential that exceeds the original specification.

It’s no wonder this load has done so well since the addition by Federal to the market. Sometimes you just need to offer a bit more flexibility for shooters in order to see a huge success. Federal Ammunition has been dabbling in interesting spaces of the market of late, providing niche products that seem to find a good fit with sport shooters. This 8mm Mauser is no exception.

Boxer Primed Brass, non-corrosive powders and primers, and a cleaner burning powder makes this an excellent reload candidate and makes the shooting experience more fun.

Suitable for use in any rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser (8x57mm).
