This 20-round box of brass-cased Starfire 9mm Luger rounds will serve well in carry and home defense firearms. Designed by Tom Burczynski, a noted expert on handgun bullets, Starfire rounds employ a proprietary ribbed and fluted design engineered to expand consistently into a five-petal shape twice the size of the original bullet diameter. Impact pressure exposes the sharp ribs in the hollow point, which then provide cutting power for improved penetration.

Launched from the muzzle at a velocity of about 1090 feet per second, the Starfire 9mm Parabellum 124-grain jacketed hollow point is a balanced round that achieves impressive stopping power without generating excessive recoil. The ability to make quick follow-up shots synergizes well with the high magazine capacity of 9mm pistols such as the Browning Hi-Power, Glock 17 and 19, and Sig P226.

PMC, a brand of the Poongsan Corporation, offers the Starfire round as part of its premium PMC Gold line. The company, a major supplier to South Korean military forces as well as American shooters, also produces a full range of target ammo. During nearly 50 years of business, Poongsan has developed effective quality control processes that have helped it produce quality ammunition such as Starfire.
