Q: will this work for a Glock G17?
does the magazine snap into the loader like the CMR/PMR loader does?

A: Thanks for reaching out! The Uplula is compatible with G17 mags. It doesn't so much snap into the mag as it does press on top of it. The manufacturer's own video provides a great demonstration of the Uplula in use:
