This round’s flat-flying 55 grain bullet is a pointed soft point: sharp, and aerodynamic, and able to move with low enough drag to deliver well over 900 ft lbs of kinetic energy to 100 yards. The PSP will expand after striking its target – and thanks to its very thin jacket (which boosts accuracy by minimizing engraving forces within the barrel), it’s poised to undergo a fair bit of deleterious fragmentation as well. Definitely not the sort of terminal ballistics home invaders or small game animals are terribly fond of.
