Details

Despite what its misprinted boxes might say, this ammo truly is 5.56x45 M193 – not 223 Rem.

Why do so many American shooters love Prvi Partizan’s ammo? Simply because it works so reliably! This case of 5.56x45 ammo is what any AR-15 owner needs to get range ready, and we’d definitely want to keep a case alongside our other crucial emergency supplies.

If you’re not familiar with military ammo designations, don’t let M193 trick you into thinking this ammo’s something unusual. M193 is just the name of the military’s standard 5.56 ammo.

This round’s 55 grain bullet has a full metal jacket for smooth feeding in a semi-auto and a boat tail to help it retain more momentum downrange. “Prvi Partizan” certainly sounds Russian, but the company is actually Serbian. Unlike Russian manufacturers, Prvi Partizan does not put steel in their bullets’ cores or jackets. That’s why it’s safe for ranges which ban magnetic ammo!

Prvi Partizan’s cases are made of pure brass, with the non-corrosive Boxer primers you need to avoid damaging your rifle and look forward to handloading back at HQ.

A: Hi Ted! Many cartridges are named in this fashion. The naming system works like this: (bullet diameter)x(case length). If a cartridge is named "5.56," then its case length is necessarily 45mm.

A: Yes sir, but I would recommend maintaining a distance of at least 100 yards between yourself and the targets in order to minimize the risk of splash-back.

A: Thanks for reaching out J.J.! We don't have a system in place to alert our customers when ammo is back in stock. We do update our inventory constantly, so I hope you'll check back in again soon!
