15 Rounds of 12ga Ammo by Winchester Super-X Low Recoil - 1 ounce HP rifled slug

This shotgun shell’s low recoil solely stems from its 1,300 fps muzzle velocity and compressible hinged wad. Its 1 ounce slug, which is rifled for smoothbore operation, and armed with a hollow point for terminal expansion, still carries more energy (and recoils harder) than the combined shot column of any 12ga sporting clays shell. It’s a fine choice for deer hunting at close range; within 59 yards, if you aim to slam at least 1,000 ft lbs into the quarry.

This round’s recoil is perceptibly lower than most 2-3/4” slug alternatives. As such, it facilitates reacquisition of the target following ignition, and represents a more welcoming introduction to the sport for smaller and less experienced shooters.
