When you buy a case of Sterling 5.56x45 ammunition, you can have your cake and eat it too. All you’ll need is some cake. We don’t understand what that expression means.
But we do know what Sterling’s 5.56 ammo stands for. Good times at the gun range. This ammo’s unladen with fancy frills and feathers. It’s just a major Turkish manufacturer’s best attempt at getting some of that sweet, sweet American recreational shooter business.
It’s just like American-made M193 ammo (minus the part where it’s actually made in America, which it ain’t). Each cartridge is bejeweled by a 55 grain full metal jacket: a non-expanding copper-jacketed lead-core piece of hardware, which is also nonmagnetic. Correctamundo, Brad! You can fire this ammo at nonmagnetic-only gun ranges.
Sterling completes those FMJs with brand new brass shells, corrosion-free Boxer primers, and double base powder that serves one single purpose: clean and reliable ignition (but there’ll still be some fouling).
