And it’s an excellent investment in home defense at that. This Nebraska-made ammo features premium annealed brass cases, flash-suppressed propellant, reliable lead-free Boxer primers, and special Copper alloy eXpanding projectiles: all great allies when you’re firing in defense of your life.

The CX is lead-free as well, but not for compliance purposes. Its rugged, ductile monolithic construction helps the CX achieve superior weight retention (wallboard: 91%; auto glass; 72%), and accounts for its satisfactory performance according to the FBI’s test protocol for defense. The CX also delivers reliably wide terminal expansion courtesy of its flat polymer tip. It keeps the nose cavity unobstructed by barrier debris, and forces its way inward to drive faster expansion as the CX spears through soft tissue.
