This round doesn’t just owe its high ballistic coefficient (G1 0.395) to its heavy 75 grain weight. The bullet is equipped with a boat tail and sports a secant ogive profile – both features which serve to minimize drag in flight. The BTHP Match additionally sports an Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket and swaged lead core, which work together to preserve peak rotational stability downrange.

This round’s bullet does not expand. Its nose cavity is only there because its jacket was created first, and then filled with molten lead.

Hornady captured this round’s 2,790 fps muzzle velocity with a 24” barrel. If you’re sighted up 1.5” and zeroed in at 200 yards, you’ll see about -8.25” drop at 300 yards. Elevation above the bore line would peak at around 2”.
