That SAA, Judge, Governor, Texas Defender or other 45 Colt handgun you carry for personal protection? It deserves the best of the best of the best ammunition – precisely what you’re looking at, right here.
Underwood, a highly reputed Illinois ammunition manufacturer, carefully loaded this cartridge with Texan company Lehigh Defense's very own Xtreme Defender. It’s a lead-free solid-copper bullet, but that’s not because you’re especially worried about the environment while you’re defending your life. Its monolithic design permits the fast-flying Xtreme Defender to avert fragmentation and clogging as it pierces barriers like fabric and wallboard. That’s why it can easily sink up to 18” deep into its target. That’s also why its terminal ballistics are so reliable.
The Xtreme Defender doesn’t expand, though. It instead uses its tip’s radial flutes to pressurize all the soft tissue it connects with and subsequently jet them outward in four opposing directions. The result? A permanent wound channel that is up to two times wider than a JHP can do!
Underwood doesn’t squander Lehigh Defense’s cutting-edge design by partnering it with subpar components. Their nickel-plated brass cases are resistant to tarnishing, and also slip in and out of a cylinder’s chamber real smooth like. Underwood also loads flash-suppressed powder. It won’t make a difference to you in broad daylight, but at night it will save your eyes from being exposed to blinding bright light!
