This is M193 ammunition, which just means it meets the U.S. Armed Forces’ specifications for the most basic kind of 5.56 it issues. Each round is outfitted with a steel-free nonmagnetic full metal jacket bullet. Thanks to its streamlined form, uniformly distributed 55 grain weight, boat tail base and consistent ~3,165 fps muzzle velocity, the bullet exhibits the 0.246 G1 ballistic coefficient that spells a flat, wind resistant trajectory throughout the 5.56’s conventional effective range. Sight in at 200 yards, and expect drop in the ballpark of -7.6” at 300 yards.
This ammo’s noncorrosive Boxer primers are protected by blue sealant, and their brass cases are fresh as baby’s breath. Pay no mind to any discoloration you see around the cases’ shoulders. It simply indicates the cases were correctly manufactured.
