A soft point bullet is not always just a soft point bullet. This 270 Win cartridge by PMC showcases the knockdown terminal performance of Hornady’s 130 grain InterLock projectile.
The InterLock features a one-piece core, a solid prong of lead that holds on to more mass and energy as it penetrates deeply. As the InterLock’s exposed core commences wide expansion, its jacket is kept anchored in place by a raised ring and mid-body cannelure. The InterLock’s jacket is tapered for controlled expansion, and also has inner grooves that provide preexisting fault lines. All in all, this soft point bullet’s design doesn’t miss an opportunity to enhance terminal performance.
