Details

The “LE” after Federal’s name stands for law enforcement, which this 308 Win ammo is exclusively made for. While it would be nice if you could summon eager and heavily armed LEOs when you most need them, however, in reality you’re going to have to wait at least a little while before help arrives. Make sure you’re able to care of business on your lonesome with this hard-hitting 308 Win cartridge!

This round is brilliant for personal protection courtesy of its 165 grain soft point projectile. Upon penetration the exposed core warps the front of the bullet outward, creating a wide wound channel while redirecting the energy of the bullet’s forward momentum outward where it can inflict greater damage. Federal took the added care to bond the bullet’s jacket and core together, meaning they’ll remain far more intact to retain the weight needed for deeper penetration, even after having passed through a barrier.

This cartridge is Boxer primed, like a good American load should be, and loaded with clean burning propellant. Its new production casing is also plated with nickel, which helps it to weave in and out of a semi-automatic’s chamber without snagging or jamming.
