The soft point takes the lowest-tech approach to terminal expansion. Once its exposed lead core smashes into soft tissue, it flattens down and splays out the rim of the jacket. The SP isn’t bonded, but that won’t stop the bullet from proceeding to the depth where it can inflict the most damage.
