A Hornady American Gunner is a great meat and potatoes round. Its propellant is measured to create a chamber pressure that any firearm can handle no sweat, and its brass casing represents the height of Hornady’s manufacturing abilities. If you’ve got a rifle that can chamber 6.5 Grendel, then this round’s place is in it.
This cartridge’s 123 grain projectile features a boat tail design. As the result its improved ballistic coefficient flattens its trajectory and preserves greater velocity downrange. This bullet’s better able to resist cross winds as well, a trait which pairs nicely with its hollow point meplat’s ability to shrug off wind deflection. With such accuracy you’ll easily be able to turn your target’s bullseye into Swiss cheese.
