In his divorce-themed song, the great Jerry Reed sang: “She got the gold mine, I got the shaft.” Well, Mr. Reed, we wish you were still around so we could send you a lovely consolation gift: this large box o’ ammo.
Federal’s Champion label ammo doesn’t cost too dearly (perfect if you’re eating baloney while she’s collecting alimony), but it’s still a revered American manufacturer’s quality work and won’t let you down at the gun range. This is a middleweight 9mm load: 124 grains, which equates to 135.2 power factor, 1,090 fps muzzle velocity (4” barrel), and 305 ft lbs striking energy at 25 yards. Unremarkable (which is by no means to say nonexistant) recoil!
Bullseyes fear the full metal jacket. Magnets won’t know it’s there, though, because Federal’s FMJ bullets are made without lead (not counting M855, but good luck chambering that in your G26). Federal’s brass cases are equally nonmagnetic, and reloadable!
