This shotshell is loaded with the target shooter’s standard 1-1/8 ounce column of shot. But because its muzzle velocity is a relatively low 1,145 feet per second – and because the AA wad collapses during ignition to absorb recoil energy so effectively – its kick is noticeably gentler than average.
This shell’s #7.5 shot pellets are uniformly round. They are also made of hard lead, which complements the hinged AA wad’s performance to promote tighter pattern density. This reloadable and American-made ammunition’s performance is even more consistent thanks to Winchester’s best-in-class primers and powder charges.
