At 1,350 fps this target shell moves its shot faster than usual, but its shot column is 1/8 oz lighter than what a regulation shell is allowed to hold. That weight reduction and its hinged wad are the shell’s two primary tools for reducing felt recoil.
One ounce of #8 lead shot is 410 pellets total, and it’s sure to produce a pattern tight enough to crush clay on contact. Winchester’s hard lead shot pellets stay aerodynamic under pressure, so they retain an effective pattern downrange.
