Do you want your AR-15 to GOBBLE down a whole bunch of 5.56 NATO ammo? Then give it some TURKEY – or, more accurately, some 5.56 NATO ammo that was made in the COUNTRY of Turkey!
It’s fun to describe ammo with lots of fancy features. Sterling takes all that fun away, because they load outstandingly simple 5.56 ammo. It is M193 spec, which means it has the most common type of .22 cal 55 grain bullet under the sun: a full metal jacket. It’s the cheapest form of semi-automatic bullet, although Sterling didn’t lower its cost even further by replacing its copper-alloy jacket with a steel one. Upshot of that? Full compliances at ranges that don’t mix with magnetic ammo.
Sterling also doesn’t cut costs by remanufacturing brass. These rounds’ cases are fresh as February snowdrops, and they’re outfitted with the noncorrosive Boxer primers that don’t destroy rifles. Order as many boxes as you like! Who’s going to stop you? Us? As if!
