Each one of these rounds has a 130 grain bullet loaded to produce a 800 fps muzzle velocity. That’s a mild load, so you won’t have too much recoil to endure as you start blasting away at the pistol range. The full metal jacket bullet has a flat nose profile for compatibility with lever-action rifles, a cannelure to prevent setback in the cylinder, and no steel that would have drawn a magnet. Perfect for target practice!
“UMC” stands for Union Metallic Cartridge – the name of a company Remington absorbed over a hundred years ago. Each UMC round has a non-corrosive Boxer primer, clean-burning powder, and a new brass case that you’ll want to keep for handloading purposes. My goodness.
