The bullet’s jacket and core are electrochemically bonded, letting them retain essentially all of their combined weight during penetration of barrier and target alike. Speer forms a Gold Dot’s nose cavity via a series of precision die presses, so the bullet expands at a highly consistent rate and to a preset width. This round’s nickel plated casing is resistant to jamming and corrosion, and it’s even easier to see during a chamber check in a darkened environment. Top it all off with a sensitive Boxer primer by CCI and a consistent charge of clean burning propellant, and you’ve got one of the best self-defense loads the market has to offer!
