The V-Crown takes its name from the shape of its jacket’s skives, which control expansion to produce a uniform mushroom. The bullet’s somewhat unique stacked hollow point design extends the length of its nose cavity deep into the V-Crown’s core, widening the extent to which it can expand. Also uniquely, this bullet features a toothed cannelure in the middle of its shank which does much to ensure that the V-Crown retains a greater part of its weight as it excavates a wound cavity. In ballistic gel tests, you would see that the V-Crown is undeterred by a variety of urban barriers.
This self-defense load’s brass casing is plated with Techni-chrom, which combines a Ducta-bright 7a nickel process with a top coat to provide even greater corrosion resistance than traditional nickel plating alone would accomplish. Techni-chrom also greatly lessens friction, so your spent casings will pop out of your chamber extremely reliably.
