Finally, the steel shell casing has come home to America! This 9mm cartridge from Winchester’s Forged label will help you to spend less of your monthly allowance on costly brass, as its casing is made of one of the most economical metals out there. It’s easier to clean up your yard after you blast through this box of ammo, too, so long as you’ve got a magnet to wave around at the end of a stick.
This round has the Boxer primer common to American ammunition, although its steel casing precludes it from handloading under anything but the most desperate circumstances. The round’s 115 grain bullet is light for caliber and accordingly boasts a supersonic muzzle velocity of 1,190 fps.
Brass isn’t totally absent from this round: Its bullet’s full metal jacket is made of the hard alloy, so it does a marvelous job of feeding from a magazine before preventing accelerated fouling of the barrel.
