This cartridge features Sig’s proprietary 115 grain V-Crown projectile. The jacketed hollow point delivers reliable terminal expansion thanks not just to its skived jacket, but also its skived core. Even a lightweight V-Crown can be trusted to inflict a wide wound channel, and it also penetrates deeply due to the toothed cannelure which mechanically anchors its jacket and core together.

The V-Crown is set to tear out of a 4” barrel at a rate of 1,185 fps. The lower muzzle velocity helps to mitigate felt recoil, but still gives the bullet more than sufficient energy for defensive shooting at close range.
